Task 2: Develop a survey response
Take a clear position and support it with developed, relevant arguments.
Work through each lesson and mark the module complete when you finish practising.
Choose a position you can explain
Read both options and identify the decision being requested. Choose the option you can support with specific reasons. You are not required to choose the objectively best policy; you need to explain a defensible preference.
State your choice early. Then develop two main reasons with explanations, examples, or consequences. End with a short conclusion that reinforces your recommendation. Keep your position consistent.
Build arguments rather than lists
Use reason → explanation → example or consequence. “A library is useful, cheap, and good” names benefits without explaining them.
Stronger: “I would support longer library hours because many residents work until early evening. Keeping the building open later would allow them to use computers and study spaces after work. For example, a parent could attend an evening language class without taking time off.”
If you compare options, explain why your preferred option better meets the needs in the prompt. Acknowledge a limitation when it helps your reasoning, but do not spend most of your response defending the other choice.
